The Block 3 sub-section of our Resurrection vineyard is home to five acres of twisted, gnarly old Shiraz vines that were planted
during the Great Depression. These vines are embedded in the deep, red Ebenezer soils and are planted in an east to west orientation allowing continual canopy cover, for the grapes, throughout the heat of the day.
Colour: Dark, inky purple with red rim.
Nose: A complex array of aromas fly forward off this wine – woodsmoke, leather, Christmas pudding, graphite.
Palate: The palate is rich with dark chocolate, blackberry and raisins. A savoury earthiness swims around the back of the malty oak notes which appear more prominently. Well-weighted with fruit and tannin, this Shiraz is power and charm all wrapped up as one.
Food Pairing: Grilled Kangaroo with anchovy butter and greens.
Alcohol Percentage: 14.5%
