Each stage of maturation softens and adds character, resulting in lovely honey and vanilla notes. This is a smooth and easy-drinking whisky is a favourite among both seasoned drinkers and beginners.
Japanese whiskies make up the latest fad in town and the Hakushu 12 Years Old is one of our entry-level favourites. Hakushu is distilled in Suntory’s mountain forest distillery using water from the Southern Japanese Alps. Perfect for those who like subtle smoke flavours, this is truly a unique expression that is well balanced with fruit and herbal notes.
This is one of the most easy-drinking single malt whiskies around, enjoyed for its profile of dried fruits, vanilla, sherry sweetness and wood smoke. It is regarded as one of the best 12 year old single malt whiskies ever made and is an all-time favourite among whisky lovers.
A perfect expression for the more adventurous beginners, the Laphroaig 10 Year Old is one bold and smokey affair. This full-bodied whisky has a huge smoke flavour with a hint of seaweed and a surprising sweetness. Laphroaig is an Islay distillery characterised by its peaty profile, and is known to produce the most strongly flavoured Scotch whiskies.
The Glenmorangie Original is a particularly elegant and floral expression that is aged for 10 years in ex-bourbon casks. It is fine and balanced, thanks to Glenmorangie’s tall stills and a maturation process which only utilises first and second fill casks. It is widely loved for its citrus, vanilla and floral notes.
