Booze and motor racing go hand-in-hand. Beyond the champagne that race winners traditional spray and indulge in on the podium, some of the planet’s biggest booze brands have injected sponsorship money into the sport in return for brand publicity.
Perhaps the most awesome result of which is the creation of some of the most unmistakable and iconic racing liveries ever designed. Here’s our list of the five most awesome booze racing liveries we’ve seen in modern times.
We’ll start with one that has cemented somewhat of a cult status amongst many petrolheads (and boozers!) worldwide, which is none other than Martini.
The premium Italian distillers have been active in racing since the 60s, with its iconic red, white and blue stripes donned on some of the world’s most beautiful race cars across several disciplines including sports cars, rally, GT, as well as Formula 1.
Today, the Martini liveries are proudly draped on the Williams-Mercedes Formula 1 race car and the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. It’s easy to see why both the Williams and Porsche race machines are lauded as the most beautiful cars on their respective grids.
Next comes renowned German digestif Jägermeister. The German brewhaus actively sponsored racing teams for decades since the 70s across various disciplines such as rally, sports car and GT racing.
This unmistakable and striking orange scheme is hard to miss, making it an effective branding tool indeed. Adding to that is the list of legendary race cars donning its colours made by the likes of BMW, Porsche and Alfa Romeo.

In 2014, vodka brand Smirnoff decided to leverage on glitzy and glamorous world of Formula 1 to elevate its status and signed a sponsorship deal with Mercedes-powered midfielders the Sahara Force India team.
The initial deal led to the massive Smirnoff branding being strategically (and tastefully) painted on the team’s 2014 cars, specifically on both its left and right sidepods – prime advertising real estate. The end result actually looked good and fans (and boozers!) loved it, propelling Smirnoff’s popularity even further as a result.

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey
Everybody’s favourite Tennessee whiskey made its debut in the racing world back in 2005 where it became the first hard liquor brands to sponsor a team in NASCAR racing history.
Jack Daniel’s partnership with the Chevrolet-powered Richard Childress Racing firm lasted through to 2009, sporting a stylish blacked-out livery and a racing number that matched with its “ol’ no. 7” slogan. The team even scored two podium finishes and a race win at the hands of hot shot driver Clint Bowyer in the 2007 season.
By the way, you can order a bottle or two of Tennessee’s finest ol’ no. 7 and have em’ delivered to you by clicking here.
Perhaps the other thing NASCAR is famed for is its strong links with a number of American beer brands. Case in point being the famed Budweiser brand’s involvement in the sport for decades.
There have been many iterations of the Budweiser racing livery over the years, but our favourite has to be the scarlet colourway from 2000 to 2007 raced by Dale Earnhardt Jr – one of the sport’s biggest superstars to date – pictured above.
Thirsty for some Bud’? We’ve got ‘em in both cans and bottles, and we’re more than happy to speed your orders over straight to your doorstep!
